Scoliosis is an inherent problem in many complex deformities encountered by spinal surgeons. Vertebral rotation, loss or deformity of pedicle and segmental abnormalities are all symptoms of scoliosis, and they can distort the physiological anatomical markers of insertion of the pedicle screws.
